We offer multiple opportunities for people of all ages to learn more about God’s love and what it means to be a Christian.

Nursery
Infant-18 Months
Children are offered a safe and loving environment each Sunday morning in our supervised nursery.
Faith Formation (formerly Sunday School)
18 Months-5th Grade
Children begin their learning by starting worship each week with their parents. After introductory prayers and music, they come to the front of the sanctuary for the interactive children’s sermon, then go to Faith Formation for instruction and crafts geared to their age levels.
Sprouts
1st-5th Grade
Gather monthly on the first or second
Friday evening for educational, service, worship or fellowship activities. They learn about topics such as baptism,
communion and prayer and enjoy annual activities such as bowling, an end-of-year picnic and the Advent festival.
Vacation Bible Camp
Ages 4-11
One week each summer, our halls are filled every evening with the sounds of busy children learning more about God. Youngsters participate as campers, while middle school and high school students serve as shepherds.
Breakfast Club
middle and high school
Meets second and fourth Sunday in the youth room for breakfast and a lesson, including conversation, games, activities, prayer and meditation. Students remain in worship on the opposite weeks.
Youth Group
middle and high school
Meet Wednesday night for events from fun activities to discussions about topical issues.
Confirmation
six months, annually or every other year
Classes for 9th and 10th graders considering joining the church are held weekly for approximately six months annually or every other year, depending on class size.
Faith Exploration
Following Sunday Morning Worship
Meets during the school year for Q&A sessions, Nooma videos, creative outlets and discussions on topical issues. Led by staff and congregation members..

Learning Through Scripture
Monday morning at 9:30
Meets during the school year to read and study the Bible.
Wednesdays at Wallingford
EVENINGS, WEDNESDAYS (SEPTEMBER.-MAY)
An opportunity for the congregation to return to WPC for an educational or fun activity, worship or other event. Some nights will even feature dinner (yum!). Opportunities include book discussions, WOW, bingo and art night.

Peacemaking and Social Justice
Monthly, September -April
Identifies issues to explore and holds pot luck dinners followed by lecture and Q&A sessions to help inform the congregation on various points of view. Example issues are immigration, racism, environmental justice, reproductive rights and gun violence.
