Liz Braden

I am happy to have served as the Director of Music at WPC since January 1999. During my tenure here, I’ve enjoyed making music with lots of great folks who make up the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, Children’s Choir and the Taizé Prayer Service Group. In addition to having the opportunity to share music weekly in worship, we have done other fun projects like presenting Godspell, doing concerts, sharing an Annual Messiah Sing with the community for over ten years, doing recitals, coffee houses and hymn sings. WPC loves music and I love making music at WPC.

My ‘other’ life is in the opera world, where I am Chorus Master at Opera Philadelphia. I’m lucky to get to work in the Academy of Music and other venues, doing old favorites like La Bohème, Carmen, and La Traviata, along with new and exciting works like the world premiere of Breaking the Waves and Andy: A Popera about the life of Andy Warhol. I have two of the best jobs in the world.

When I’m not making music, I’m usually at home in Collingswood, NJ with my wife Denine, our son Nate and Nate’s huge Lego collection. When we’re not enjoying being part of the life of WPC or the opera, we all enjoy playing games, watching the Phillies, reading, enjoying good food and most importantly sharing lots of fun times with family and friends.
