Missa Gaia Choral Concert

Celebrate the beauty of the earth with Paul Winter’s Earth Mass (“Missa Gaia”) performed by the SPC Chancel Choir, Agape Singers and Alleluia! Singers; soloist Liz Seymour; guest choristers from the community and an instrumental ensemble under the direction of Meghan Meloy Ness
Held at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church, 727 Harvard Avenue


Youth Group Mini Golf and Arcade

4:30 p.m., Sunday, April 28
Meet at Putt-Putt Family Fun Center (5300 W Baltimore Pike, Clifton Heights) for mini golf and arcade time

Reproductive Rights: The Elephant in the Room

6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 1
Speakers from Planned Parenthood of Southeastern PA will update the broader legal issues, social issues and current challenges to Pennsylvanians accessing the full spectrum of reproductive health care services. They will also address the history of the church’s involvement in advocating for reproductive freedoms and share personal stories from their decades of work in this arena.

A program developed by the Arthritis Foundation to safely make physical activity part of your everyday life
Held at Redwood Community Center (280 6th Street, Brookhaven)

Calling All Grads

If you or a loved one is graduating from high school, technical school, college or grad school, we’d like to celebrate!
Contact the church office with the grad’s name, school and degree. For HS, include their plans for the fall

Providence Garden Club Plant Sale

Annuals, perennials grown by club members, shrubs, natives, plants from local nurseries and planted containers and troughs

An Afternoon of A Cappella

Featuring the award-winning Haverford School Notables and Baldwin School B-flats performing a wide variety of music, from classical to music theater to jazz to pop, and everything in between
Suggested donation – $15
Benefitting Keep Music Alive, a Delaware County non-profit organization that seeks to help more children (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music


 

 

 

World Autism Month

An opportunity to understand how autism impacts WPC and the community at large, raise awareness about autism acceptance and promote inclusion and connectedness for people with autism

Joe Henwood, author of “Remembering a Great American Hero, Marian Anderson,” will present insights into the life of the legendary contralto, civil rights icon and Philadelphian. He will talk about the power of faith in her life, with some little-known stories of her courage and generosity.

Media Food Bank is requesting:
  • Breakfast Food (dry cereal, hot cereal, shelf-stable milk)
  • Canned Goods (canned fish, meat, vegetables, fruit)
  • Pantry Staples (broth, cooking oil, vinegar, sugar, flour)
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing)
  • Snacks (crackers, chips, cookies)
  • Beverages (coffee, tea, juice/juice boxes, hot chocolate)
  • Personal Care (feminine hygiene items, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes/toothpaste)
  • Baby Items (baby food, diapers, pull-ups, wipes)
  • Household Essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, laundry/dish detergent)

YouTube Worship Service

The live worship service in our sanctuary is video recorded and available on our YouTube channel, Facebook page and website later in the week for those unable to attend in person.

The staff has in-person office hours in an effort to meet everyone’s needs.
